Emperor Dracula: Island of Shadows is waiting on Valdros
Our open-world action-adventure is live. Here's what you're walking into when you wash up on the drowned coast.

You wake on the drowned coast of Valdros with almost nothing. The island belongs to Emperor Dracula now, and his hold on it rests on a set of blood seals. Your job is to break them, one at a time, and end his reign.
Play Emperor Dracula: Island of Shadows. It's free and runs in the browser on desktop and mobile.
An island to explore
This is our first 3D game and our first open world. Valdros has villages, graveyards and mountain passes, people who need help, and a lot of things that want you dead. You get a journal for quests, an inventory, and a map for when you get lost. You will get lost.
Fighting the dead
Combat is about reading your enemy. You have light and heavy attacks, a block, a parry and a dodge. Enemies wind up before they swing; parry at the right moment and they're open. Mash buttons and you won't last long.
You don't have to win every fight head-on, either. Side quests can get you better steel. Brom the smith will forge you a better weapon if you bring him iron ore from Ironpeak. And sneak attacks are a real option.
Three very different nights
- Easy (Story). Enemies hit softer and attack one at a time. Wind-ups are long and readable, the parry window is wide, and you get more potions.
- Medium (Balanced). The intended experience. Enemies take turns but keep the pressure on, and parrying and dodging are rewarded.
- Hard (Brutal). Enemies hit hard and gang up on you. Fast attacks, a tight parry window and fewer potions. Prepare first: side quests, better steel and sneak attacks matter here.
Before you play
Emperor Dracula is recommended for ages 12 and up. It has fantasy violence against monsters and the undead, horror themes and dark scenes, with no real-world gore.
The game also has flashing lights, lightning and fast-moving images. If you have photosensitive epilepsy, please take care. If you feel dizzy or sick, or notice any twitching, stop playing straight away. Phones can get warm during long sessions, so take regular breaks.
There are no accounts, ads, in-game purchases or online chat. Your settings and save game stay in your browser's storage on your device.
